About Christchurch Veterinary Surgery

Independent Vets in Ipswich

Our customers love that we offer independent veterinary care because it means a truly personal service without the constraints of a “corporate” brand mentality.

Christchurch Street vets has built an excellent reputation for welcoming customers, being sensitive to their requirements and ensuring their pets feel as relaxed as possible at what can be a nervous time. The team of vets, veterinary nurses and support staff are kind and knowledgeable, bringing our first opinion practice to life.

Founded by Shane and Charlotte Morrison in 2001, Christchurch Veterinary Surgery tries to make sure you see the same vet or veterinary nurse for each visit. We always explain your options, what’s involved for your pet and the costs before any treatment begins.

After booking an appointment (call 01473 255789) and making use of our large car park (access from Cobbold Mews, off Cobbold Street), you arrive in our clean and spacious reception area. Our reception team will welcome you, and we see your pet promptly.

We understand that some animals get nervous visiting the vets. After all, not many of us like going to the doctors. So, we do all we can to make them feel calm and loved during their visit.

Our animal healthcare facilities

We like to think our modern facilities make us the best vets for pets in Ipswich. We’re proud to offer:

  • Separate dog and cat wards
  • Two prep rooms
  • Two large, sterile well equipped theatres
  • In-house diagnostic facilities
  • Air-driven dentistry equipment
  • Each qualified veterinary nurse is listed with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons

The practice is inspected regularly by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons to ensure we comply with all regulations and maintain a high standard of care.

Uniquely for Ipswich, we also have our Christchurch Referral Centre, in Tuddenham Road, where your animals can go for surgical procedures such as soft tissue, orthopaedic and spinal operations.
